Simulate the carbon
of your construction sites
Efficarbone is a construction site carbon measurement tool that enables you to quantify and reduce the carbon footprint of the construction phase, complementing your biodiversity certification approach.
Understanding Efficarbone
What does Efficarbone measure?
Construction emissions
Quantify the carbon emissions generated during the construction phase (materials, transport, plant and equipment).
Benchmarking
Compare your carbon performance against industry standards and identify improvement opportunities.
Optimisation strategy
Receive recommendations to reduce your carbon footprint and improve your performance.
Biodiversity + Carbon = Comprehensive performance
Efficarbone and Effinature (biodiversity certification) form a holistic approach to real estate performance. Measure your carbon impact during construction while certifying your biodiversity commitment — two complementary levers to attract ESG investors and comply with SFDR and CSRD frameworks.
Effinature
- — Biodiversity certification and ecological priorities
- — Delivered by IRICE, independent certification body
- — Formalised regulatory framework
Efficarbone
- — Construction-phase carbon emission measurement
- — Complementary and flexible tool
- — RE2020 alignment and climate objectives
How does Efficarbone work?
Request and data collection
You provide the data relating to your construction site: materials, equipment, transport, workforce.
Analysis and calculation
Our team quantifies carbon emissions using reference methodologies (ADEME, EN 15978).
Report and recommendations
You receive a detailed report with benchmarking and carbon optimisation strategies.
Ready to measure your carbon footprint?
Request an Efficarbone measurement and integrate carbon reduction into your real estate performance strategy.
A tool developed since 2009
Efficarbone is not a recent tool. It is the result of over 15 years of R&D in construction-phase carbon measurement, co-funded by ADEME from its inception. Here are the milestones documented by third-party sources.
2009
Creation and ADEME co-funding
Development of the Efficarbone software, co-funded by ADEME. The tool enables the assessment of emissions from companies responding to a tender to determine, lot by lot, which will emit the least greenhouse gases.
AGIR PACA Award 2009
2010 — 2011
National recognition
Efficarbone receives the ADEME Award 2010 and the Digital Green Growth Award 2011, confirming the relevance of carbon measurement applied to construction sites.
February 2015
Contribution to the Plan Batiment Durable
Official contribution to the "Building and Biodiversity" working group of the French Ministry of Ecology. The 20-page document presents Efficarbone and Effinature as operational measurement and certification tools.
