PROJECT DATE

FAIDHERBE

32 housing units at 7/9 avenue Faidherbe, MONTREUIL

  • Initial Biodiversity Status:

    • Soil: The site is mostly sealed, with old warehouses due to be demolished. Soil pollution has been assessed as moderate, with recommended measures for the management of impacted land.
    • Flora: The site is located in a dense urban environment with no significant natural habitats. Only a few plant species, such as Sedum and Stellaria intermedia, are present. No ecologically significant plant species have been identified, with the exception of an invasive exotic species, David's Buddleia, for which management measures are planned.
    • Fauna: The presence of species of heritage interest is considered to be virtually non-existent due to the site's location within a dense urban fabric. Specific facilities, such as refuge areas for birds like the Black Redstart and the Black Swift, will be installed.
  • Ecological Program:

    • The ecological program includes measures to minimize the impact of the worksite on biodiversity, with careful management of identified sensitive areas and coordination with critical biological periods, such as bird nesting.
  • Preservation of flora and fauna:

    • Flora: Use of local plants and respect for vegetation requirements to maintain or increase the ecological value of the site.
    • Wildlife: Installation of wildlife-friendly features such as shelters and food sources for insects, birds and other local species.
    • Ecological Continuity Assessment: An ecological continuity assessment was carried out to identify and protect existing biodiversity corridors and plan compensatory measures where necessary.
